This morning we arose about 8.30 to another beautiful day. After the usual habits of a shower then breakfast we put the walking shoes on.
We crossed over the nearby bridge and onto the info centre to find out about the local rice industry. The receptionist in the centre gave us first hand information on the growing and processing of rice.
We then departed the centre and found the walking track to Willoughby's Beach. We had to be careful here as there were a number of hostile magpies swooping intruders like us. Wandered around Memorial Park and the Showgrounds complex before returning the long way back to town to avoid the magpies. We then followed the town walk track along the various water features and an aviary of birds. A coffee shop was our next stop for a light lunch.
After lunch we picked up the walking trail which followed the Edwards River to McLean Beach which is one of Australia's largest inland beaches. We spent about 30min checking the area out before turning back towards town.
We stopped at the "Ute on a Pole" for a photo shoot then it was back over the bridge to the van. We walked about 9.06km as per Map my Walk app on my phone.
Relaxed and read for about an hour then we indulged in Happy Hour, tea, telly then bed.
