Up at 8am and on the road home at 9.30. It was a very windy day but fortunately it was in our favour. The road from Ballan to Anakie was very rough (one of the worst we have been on) which slowed us down.
We arrived safely home at 11.30 after completing over 13000 km. Hopefully statistics will be up in a few days time. Thank you all for following the blog and for your comments.

Daylesford Day 1
Lazy start to the day, we were up about 9am and it was rather cold but the day did warm up and we spent the day in shorts. Had a shower then breakfast then spent time around the van, reading, computing, sudoku and candy crush.
Had lunch, watched the start of the Grand Final then put the walking shoes on and walked into town via the lake. Browsed the shops again before indulging in another coffee and cake. We then walked back to the van via the main road, a total of 5km down hill and up hill.
Back at the van, we watched the Hawks win easily in the last quarter then Happy Hour with 2 other couples before it was time for tea, telly then bed.
We will be home tomorrow sometime.

Rochester to Daylesford
We were not in a hurry to move today as the owner of the park had said he didn't mind what time we checked out. Anyway we were on the road by 11 am. Our destination for today was Daylesford. From Rochester onto the Northern Highway to Bendigo where I refuelled the car. From Bendigo on the Calder Highway to Harcourt where we picked up the Midland Highway onto Castlemain then Daylesford. We arrived at the caravan park at 1.40pm, set the van up then had a late lunch.
Drove into town, parked the car then wandered the main street of Daylesford. Made some purchases at the local supermarket then returned to the van. Got chatting to our next door neighbours who are from South Australia and before we knew it, it was time for tea, then telly then bed. We have had to find the warm clothes as it is quite cold here.

Mathoura to Rochester
Moving day today. We decided to stay at a caravan park in Rochester as it is by far a cheaper alternative to Echuca or Moama. We have been invited out to tea by Robert &Pauline , a cycling friend who lives in Moama.
Arrived in Rochester about 11.30, found the caravan park and set up the van. Had lunch then drove back to Echuca and spent the afternoon wandering the shops and wharf area, tasting cheese, then chocolate then a very nice coffee at one of the local cafes.
Made our way to Robert & Pauline's and enjoyed a very nice meal and good conversation. A good evening. Back to the van, a bit of telly then bed.

Deniliquin to Mathoura
We were up and on the way to Mathoura, a whole 37km. We arrived about 10.15 am. We set the van up in a nice grassy site in the caravan park then drove to Moama to check out some free camping sites on the Murray River. The 5 mile boat ramp has been changed to Day Use only.
We then travelled back to Moama across the bridge into Victoria and 7km east of Echuca to Christies Beach. A good big area but feel the road is too rough to pull our van across. Back to Echuca , fuelled the car at the Shell service station then it was back to Mathoura.
Into the info centre but nothing new took our fancy. Back past our Caravan Park to look at a free camp area 7km down the road. There were a number of campers here but it just felt a little uncomfortable. We then drove on to the Picnic Point caravan park where there were a large number of casual/permanents there as well as a couple of short stay vans.
We returned to our van where we had a late lunch. We were going to walk one of the trails here but it started raining so we spent the afternoon in the van. Before ee knew it, it was time for tea, telly then bed.
Tomorrow we hope to travel to Rochester.

Deniliquin Day 2
We were up about 8.45 this morning and we had a very lazy day.
We walked into town about 1.30 pm and we spent a couple of hours window shopping and of course finding a coffee shop for that coffee and cake.
Back at the van we had Happy Hour with our new neighbours from Ballarat about 4.45. It was then time for tea, telly then bed. I did say we had a lazy day. Another big day tomorrow, we are off to Mathoura about 30km south of here.

Deniliquin Day 1
This morning we arose about 8.30 to another beautiful day. After the usual habits of a shower then breakfast we put the walking shoes on.
We crossed over the nearby bridge and onto the info centre to find out about the local rice industry. The receptionist in the centre gave us first hand information on the growing and processing of rice.
We then departed the centre and found the walking track to Willoughby's Beach. We had to be careful here as there were a number of hostile magpies swooping intruders like us. Wandered around Memorial Park and the Showgrounds complex before returning the long way back to town to avoid the magpies. We then followed the town walk track along the various water features and an aviary of birds. A coffee shop was our next stop for a light lunch.
After lunch we picked up the walking trail which followed the Edwards River to McLean Beach which is one of Australia's largest inland beaches. We spent about 30min checking the area out before turning back towards town.
We stopped at the "Ute on a Pole" for a photo shoot then it was back over the bridge to the van. We walked about 9.06km as per Map my Walk app on my phone.
Relaxed and read for about an hour then we indulged in Happy Hour, tea, telly then bed.
