Bayles (Near Koo Wee Rup)
At this stage we are running a day behind in in our reporting in. We hope to be able to write our reports at the end of the day.
We had a good sleep in after our long day Tuesday. Sat down to breakfast about 9 am, then planned the days activities. Margaret (my sister) had a couple of little jobs that needed some attention. Jobs done, we had lunch.
We then embarked on our first winery tasting. Margaret had a friend who was doing a small job for her, and it so happened he had a "little" hobby; making wine.
He had about an acrea under grape vines. At the appropriate time he picked the grapes, crushed then in his press and was able to produce a very nice red wine. We sampled various vintages and concluded it was a very nice drop indeed.
After a pleasent afternoon we returned back to the caravan to freshen up and change. We were invited to have tea at Mt Martha with very dear friends of ours. Bill and Judy.
Arrived at Bill and Judys place about 6.15 and enjoyed a couple of wines as we reminsed over the last few years. A very enjoyable meal, capably prepared by Judy, was enjoyed. Bill was telling us stories (as only Bill can) of his experiences while in charge of the foreshore area.
After a very pleasent evening we returned to our caravan and reired for the night
