Batemans Bay Day 3

This morning we arose about 8 am and joined Don for breakfast. We left Queanbeyan about 9.30 and made our way to Lake Burley Griffin and found a car park near Regatta Point.

Guess what? We unloaded the bikes and with map in hand set off to do the Western Loop around the lake about 17 km. It was a beautiful day with sun shining, a light breeze and a sealed path. The path was generally flat and meandered through the country side around the lake. Not being on the bike for nearly 6 months, Evon did really well. She did walk a few hills.

As we came to the end of the loop, Evon said lets do the City Loop, a distance of 5 km. We stopped for  a coffee and chicken wrap at Doms Coffee Bar, just near the High Court of Australia. As it was just on 1pm we were entertained by the carillon.

We set off again along the water front across the Kings Avenue bridge past the National Carillon and back to the car. A very enjoyable ride with the colours of autumn adding to the enjoyment.

After loading the bikes back on the car we drove back across Clyde Mountain back to our Caravan park in Batemans Bay. Arriving here about 4.15

We had tea, watched a bit of tele before retiring for the night.
