Bonny Hills Day 2

Today was a driving day.  We departed the caravan park about 10.15 am, our destination the Ellenborough Falls (the second largest single drop waterfall in Australia). A trip of about 50km over sealed and unsealed roads into the mountains.

On arrival at the falls we went to a viewing platform for our first view of the falls.  We then walked about 80m to the head of the falls.  Our next walk was to The Knoll - 800m, where the viewing platform gave us a full view front on.

On returning from the walk to The Knoll we had a picnic lunch at one of the many tables available then we returned back to the coast via Wauchope then the Dooragan National Park.  We drove up North Brother Mountain which overlooked Laurieton, North Haven and Dunbogan villages.

At the summit (490m) is a lookout offering superb views over the coastline,  the lakes and the mouth of the Camden Haven River.  We covered the various viewing platforms then did a loop walk to another viewing platform.

We then drove back down the mountain and back to the van.  Happy Hour,  tea,  telly then bed.

PS The boss has booked an extra night here as I thought.  It is a pretty cool park.
