This morning we were up, packed and on the road by 10 am. Our destination was One Mile Beach Holiday Park near Anna Bay. Evon had her maps and I plugged in the Navman and off we went.
We arrived at our destination about 12.30 all intact. Booked in for 4 nights. The site they gave us initially wasn't in my opinion suitable so requested another site, all ok. Set up van then had lunch.
After lunch we drove into Nelson Bay to find the info place. Horror of horrors, ticketed parking machines everywhere. Eventually found a free council 3 hour park then walked to the info office.
We wandered around the shops a bit before finding a free car park at the Coles supermarket which we will use tomorrow or Saturday when we do a cruise to Tea Gardens.
Back to the car, found a service station to fill the car then head back to the van. On the way we stopped at the Gan Gan Lookout. Panoramic views extend from Newcastle in the south, Tea Gardens to the north, mountains to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. This is the highest point in Port Stephens.
Back to the van for a walk along the beach, some people were in enjoying the waves, Happy Hour, tea, telly and bed.
