Moving day today. Up by 8am and packed up and on the road by 9.20 am and with the destination keyed into Navman we were on our way.
Another good day for travelling, reasonably good road, light traffic and slight tail wind. We made a toilet stop at a roadhouse where I also had a coffee.
Continued up the Bruce Highway to Proserpine where we turned right into Shute Harbour Road. Through the towns of Cannonvale and Airlie Beach to our destination 7km further on. On arrival at the caravan park , booked in for 3 nights at this stage, set the van up then had lunch.
After lunch we drove on to Shute Harbour and to the Lions Lookout. It boasts a panarama of the Whitsunday islands including a distant Hamilton Island.
We then drove around hilly Shute Harbour before driving back to Airlie Beach. Strolled around the shopping centre and guess what, found a nice little coffee shop.
After we had indulged our coffee addiction we returned to the car and back to the caravan park. Walked to the Airlie Beach Airport (just over the back fence of the park) then back to the van and it was tea, telly and bed. Early tonight because we have booked a day cruising around the islands and we are being picked up at 7am in the morning.
