We were up, packed and on the road by 9.45 am. Punched the address into Navman, 240km from Urunga to Grafton - boss said "no way " she had calculated 130. As it turned out she was right, again.
A lot more roadworks on the Pacific Highway, bypasses, widening and resurfacing. Didn't really affect our progress. Arrived at our selected caravan park about midday. Booked in for a couple of nights initially, found our site, set up, then had lunch.
We then ventured into town and to the info centre. We were a bit disappointed with their presentation. Not a great deal of local information and A4 size sheets of info for 10 cents each. A real first for us.
From the info centre we went back over the historic bridge - cars on top, railway underneath. Parked the car at the base of the bridge and walked around the various info boards.
We then ventured into the local shopping centre. The car park was under the shops and after some confusion we finally found our way up to the shops. Wandered around the shops, had a coffee, then to the supermarket for supplies, then back to the van.
Happy Hour, tea, telly then bed.
