This morning we were up about 8.30 and decided to move on. We were, as per the previous 2 mornings, serenaded by the birds.
We were soon on the road by 9.30, heading back to the Landsborough Highway then turned right for Blackall.
Arrived in Blackall and I wanted to see the historic wool scour about 4km east of town. Reached our destination and paid to go on the tour of the scour. Started off with a video presentation of the history of wool and the wool scour. We then went on the guided tour over the old plant which was still being steam driven. I found it very interesting.
On completion of the tour we drove back into town and fuelled up the car for our next leg to Tambo.
The road varied between older rougher road to newly formed road and traffic was light. We spotted 2 brolgas on the side of the road and stopped in an endeavour to take a couple of photos.
Arrived in Tambo about 2.30pm. Found the caravan park we were looking for where you pay for 2 nights you get the third night free.
Set up the van then walked up to the shops to get some provisions and returned to the van and had a coffee.
Happy Hour was held at 5.30 with most people in the park meeting at the camp fire for an hour or so.
It was then tea, telly (we have limited reception) then bed.
