Off to the Info centre and the Outback Show which started about 11. The show was conducted by a well known bush character, Luke Thomas who with his team of working bullocks, clydesdale horses, talking camels, sheep dogs and performing trick horses stage a true outback show.
After the show we adjourned to the café for a light lunch then it was back to the Exhibition Centre for some more information overkill. We spent about an hour there reading and listening to the history of the area.
Into the car and off to checkout the historical loch and weir. It was built in 1897 and is the only one of its kind built on the Darling river. This was a 14km 30min road trip from town.
Back into town and a visit to the local supermarket then back to the van. We have had a light shower of rain to settle the dust. No Happy Hour tonight just tea, telly then bed.
NB Thank you to my wonderful daughters for making contact and wishing me a happy father's day.
Glad you had a nice day x
