Moving day today. We were up and on the road by 10.10 this morning. Onto the Bruce Highway , through Innisfail and on our way to Cairns. The caravan is booked into storage from tomorrow so it was a rest area or caravan park tonight.
We decided to try the rest area south of Gordonvale and arrived about 11.00am. Chose a nice shady spot and set up. We needed to sort out what we were taking with us to Mundi and Grahame's.
After a late lunch we enjoyed a coffee sitting outside in the shade when we were joined by Doug and Flo who were originally from Ballarat and now Shepparton. We spent the rest of the afternoon just chatting, we seemed to have a lot of things in common - caravanning, sailing, own business etc.
We called it a night at dusk and returned to our respective vans for tea (no telly) reading then bed.
