This morning we were up about 8.30. Evon had an appointment with the hairdresser at 10 am. I busied myself with the housework while she was gone. I think she was suitably impressed on her return.
After lunch we hopped in the car and drove to the Graham Andrews Parkland and did what they called the Outback Native Timber walk.
On completion of this walk we then relocated into town to the start of the 1.4km river walk along the north bank of the Warrego River. A fully sealed 1 metre wide path which followed the river. Returned to the start where we found the local bakery where we enjoyed a coffee and cake. Returned to the van where I read and the boss found her knitting.
About 5.30pm we drove to the venue where we partook in the Bilby experience. While waiting for the start of the show we saw some Yellow-footed rock wallabies.
The show started with a short introduction then a 30minute video on the time and effort it has taken to ensure the survival of the bilby, by two gentlemen in particular. We were then taken to the enclosures where there a number of female bilbies scurrying around with their babies. The males were in another cage and are a lot larger.
It was then off to the local bowls club where we had tea. Back to the van then it was a bit of telly then bed.
