Ilfracombe Day 2

Up about 8.30 this morning,  had a shower then breakfast.  I decided to go for a bike ride,  suggested Evon join me but received a blunt "NO".

Got changed and organized the bike then off I went.  Out to the local race course first, quite a good setup - grandstand,  judge's box, mounting yards, betting ring - it had everything.

Back towards town and my next stop was the local cemetery.  As per usual the graves tell a story.  There were quite a few children's graves.

Back into town and I just rode up one street and down the next.  There were different types of houses,  some on stilts,  all quite old and a couple for sale.

Crossed over the railway line to sport and recreation town area and there was a floodlit oval.  Very modern looking club house,  well kept tennis courts.  This is a town that has everything!

Back to the van,  packed the bike up, had a shower then lunch.  The afternoon was spent reading and wandering.

"Happy Hour " started right on time at 5.30 and again tonight had the young kids reciting their poetry.  We all introduced ourselves and if we had any talent,  told a joke, whatever.

After Happy Hour Evon & I ventured into the local pub for a counter tea.  We were rewarded with a really good meal.  Back to the van then it was no telly then bed.
Hats in the pub.
