Today our venture for the day was a trip to "Age of Dinosaurs" exhibit.
We were up by 8.30 and the "Boss" put a load of washing into the free washing machines - sheets and towels. Washing done and hung we then drove the 20km out to the "Age of Dinosaurs" venue and booked in to do the 2 tours offered.
The first of the tours was the Collection Room where a guide gave an interpretative talk aided by audio visual presentations and static displays about the history of dinosaurs in the area.
The second tour covered the Laboratory work and how they found the various bones at the diggings and extracted the bones from the rocks. Our guide for this tour was very good.
At the end of this last presentation we headed back to Winton and visited the local supermarket. We left without buying anything. Not much on the shelves, not many items priced so we thought it would be too much of a shock at the checkout. We did buy a loaf of bread at the local bakery before returning to the van for a late lunch followed by Happy Hour.
Over the road to the local pub for tea where we were more than satisfied with our meals. We were also offered a free wine or beer each because we were staying in their park.
Back to the van with full bellies then it was telly, a cup of tea then bed.
