Another lazy day today. Up about 9am and walked down the street about 10.30am. Our first stop was the Corfield & Fitzmaurice Building. This is a heritage listed store with the original high ceilings, skylights and "Flying Fox".
We were able to view a dinosaur diorama, a display of boulder-opal, a heritage display of a bygone era and a wool industry display dating back to blade shearing, horse and wool wagons.
We then visited the Royal Open Air Theatre. It is one of a few open air picture theatres remaining in operation. It also included an opal walk and fascinating opal displays.
The local green grocer was our next stop where we bought a few vegies for tea. A nice piece of meat from the local butcher was also purchased. It was then back to the van via Arno's Wall. This modern wonder of art and architecture contains almost every household item you could imagine.
Back at the van we had a late lunch then just sat around and read etc. A quick Happy Hour and the "Boss" excelled herself and cooked a magnificent roast tea.
It was then telly, cup of tea then bed. Tomorrow we are heading to Longreach.
