We have decided to stay another day here because it's so relaxing and quiet. I was up about 8 am and went for a walk (2km) around the lake. Back to the van and the "Boss " was still in bed. After some persuasion she got up and we had breakfast.
Our new friends from the Flinders Ranges were preparing to leave so we bid them goodbye. Met another couple near by who came from Canberra and had a bit of a chat. We then got ourselves organized and walked into the info area. We strolled around the Cobar Mining Heritage Park where there is a memorial to the miners who have lost their lives in mines around Cobar.
It was then into town where we chose to have lunch at the RSL Club. Continued on then up the street then back to the van across the Golf Course (took a short cut).
The rest of the afternoon we just lazed around. At Happy Hour we were invited to join our new friends from Canberra around their campfire. A very pleasant evening was had and we were lucky enough to have pizzas cooked on their Baby Q for tea, which were very nice. Now we will have to invest in a pizza stone.
We are definitely on the move tomorrow.
Posted Friday.
